Peter James’ Wish you were DEAD Play Review at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford, Kent

We went along to see the 100th performance of Peter James’ ‘Wish you were dead’ play at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford last night and as a fan of murder mysteries, this is one play well worth seeing.

The story is about Roy Grace, his wife Cleo, their new baby boy and friends going away for a relaxing holiday in a private rental in France, but of course it was never going to be relaxing!

The rental was pretty dyer, not just in need of renovations, but is completely secluded from any kind of outside contact. No phone line, no signal, no wifi … and eventually no car! The Grace family were trapped and a very worrying reason slowly unfolded …

‘Wish you were dead’ set was very clever, allowing the audience to see most of the house at any one time, with an important room … hidden in plain sight!

In true Roy Grace style, people were shot, lives were threatened and the twists kept coming, but Grace got them out of the situation and managed to save the day.

If you enjoy Peter James’ novels, then ‘Wish you were dead’ is definitely worth seeing and you can catch this play at The Orchard Theatre between now and Saturday 3rd June 2023.

*PLEASE NOTE - THIS PLAY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN, BUT PERFECT FOR DATE NIGHT, OR TIME OUT WITH PALS!
