“WARNING! WARNING! 100% Educational. 200% Entertaining. 300% Explosive. 400% Fun! … Ministry of Science Live is not your ordinary science show – it comes with a bang. It comes with a whoosh. But most of all is comes with a hovercraft built on stage!” - This was the description of the show and I am pleased to report it is every bit true!

This brilliant family show was engaging, informative, educational and fun and all three of us loved it! Our six year old was completely engrossed, learning about elements, explosions and even how to catch your shadow!

Some of the language used was a little difficult for our six year old (and me) to follow, but it was far from boring and was fast and energetic enough that the kids were not glazing over at all, they were completely engaged and participated throughout.

Without giving too much away, there were explosions, bottle rockets, glow sticks, smoke & bubbles, a little singing and even voiceovers from X Factor’s Peter Dickson!!

My boy is a bit sensitive to noise, but the presenters were great at letting you know when to cover your ears … Which was lucky because the last one actually shook the entire room!!

There was a wide range of ages across the auditorium and as far as I could tell, the children were roughly between the ages of 4-15 years old, both the kids and the adults were enjoying the show equally. Our lad loved it so much that he woke up talking non-stop abut it, especially the periodic table song and proudly took his programme to school today for ‘Show & Tell’ time in class.

If your child is of school age, then I highly recommend you go see this show, its fun for everyone and the kids get a new way of learning some amazing Science … What can be better than that??
