Milk Free Pancake Recipe, but you can use Milk!

Are you & the kids ready for Pancake Day? Here’s an easy pancake recipe that you can make together

We use Almond Milk as our boy is milk intolerant, but you can use normal cows milk!

Ingredients.

4oz plain flour

1/2 pint Alpro Almond milk (or normal milk)

1 egg, lightly whisked

1 tablespoon of dairy free Vitalite (or butter)

A pinch of salt

Olive oil for frying pan

Method:

Sieve the flour into a large bowl & add a pinch of salt, gradually whisk in the milk, egg and milk free spread until you have a smooth batter.

Grab your frying pan and rub around the inside of the pan with some kitchen roll that’s been dabbed in vegetable oil, then heat the pan on a high heat.

With a grown-up’s help, turn the heat down to medium & add just under a ladleful of batter to the frying pan, making sure you immediately start swirling it around to get a nice even layer.

Cook the pancake until it unsticks from the pan, then use a palette knife or spatula to lift the pancake carefully and flip it over. Cook the other side until it’s cooked through. Once this side is cooked, your delicious pancake should be ready.

One last thing to do .... FAMILY PANCAKE TOSS COMPETITION!!!

We topped our pancakes with various choices of Strawberries, Maple syrup, Lemons & Salted Caramel dessert sauce. Yummy!!
